Pidpa – well managed

Pidpa was established as an intercommunity without private intrests.  Her partners are the province of Antwerp and 67 communities in this province.  Pidpa has no private shareholders.  The biggest actual shareholder is the province.  The share capital of the communities corresponds with the number of its respective inhabitants at the time of establishment.

Pidpa is governed by the 79 members of the board of directors amongst which are three members with an advisory vote in conformity with the requierements of the new legislation on intercommunities.  The board makes policy decisions on a monthly bases.  An board committee of 7 members takes care of the daily government and any rush measures. Daily management rests with the General Management.  They translate policy aims into practical projects.  They stand for the image of Pidpa in the outside world and represent the company in the first place at national as well as international levels.

Twice a year the statutory general assembly resides at the Antwerp company seat.  Half-yearly the results of the past year are submitted for approbation to this assembly.  At the end of the year the budget for the next year is being approved.  The assembly is composed of representatives of the municipal-and province partners
